With changing living patterns and an expanding family, this young couple needed to consider whether to move a new home or to renovate this house. They both had a emotional attachment to their current home and preferred a renovation, if they could  expand the living area and kitchen to accommodate both their day to day family interaction as well as their social connections with friends and neighbors.  The Design Program included the following:

A great room sized for living + dining, including a fireplace

Windowed walls for connection to the outside

A modern kitchen open to the living area

A covered screened outdoor space sized for living + dining, including a fireplace

A butlers pantry placed for ease of access

A new laundry room

An updated vanity I powder room

A storage room connected to garage
 

The design achieved all of their expectations and was completed on time and within budget!
